Teenage residents of the Youth Shelter Program of Westchester, an alternative to incarceration program located in Mt. The teen leaders, both students and varsity players at the Masters School, led their teen teammates in a variety of instructional drills and modified games. The program took place at the Mt. Most of the residents never played lacrosse but were quick to pick up the skills and enjoyed the gameplay. We are looking for additional high school athletes to lead programs with the shelter in a sport of their choosing.
The is offering opportunities for Scarsdale and Edgemont High School students to share their talents and develop leadership skills by running workshops for Scarsdale middle school students. Workshops can be offered in a single session or weekly, in an area of passion — music, drawing, drama, dance, singing, book groups, card games or any other area of interest. High school students share their passions and work directly with younger teens, under the supervision of Teen Center staff.
