Blind date in rosario
The film jumps back and forth on this timeline, alternating between scenes of Juana on her way to her date and scenes of them together in his bedroom. I saw the VR film at the Sundance Film Festival, where its intro acts as an emotional thesis statement: Juana is in the bathtub, watching a steamy video on her phone and touching herself. Below are highlights from our conversation that suggest what this film can teach others about inclusive media-making, as well as making a stellar VR film. The team is proud of their inclusive creation process, recognizing that representation in front of the camera is not enough. Poncio and Masjoan described the process of connecting over shared experiences, while their unique experiences shaped the final outcome of the film. Masjoan mentioned that the opening scene reflected her own tension between her private life and needing the people around her.

In the short film 4 Feet: Blind Date , Juana is like most other year-olds. She plays around with her style, dying her hair a bright blue. At the kitchen table, she bickers with her mom and sister. But unlike most teenage stories we see in film, Juana is living with a disability and uses a wheelchair. Unlike the usual portrayals in pop culture of people living with disabilities , 4 Feet is no after-school special. Although Juana portrayed by Delfina Diaz Gavier is fictional, her experiences are meant to be depicted as realistically as possible.
Kate Mara. Age: 29. Gentle, affectionate, very passionate ... I am waiting for an adequate, clean man to visit ... A lot of pleasures and unforgettable impressions await you!
Doing Inclusion, Making Strong VR Experiences
When Rosario started using a wheelchair her soul remained the same—but, the world changed its perspective about her. This "new" world became her challenge: to transform the consciousness of those around her to realise that she was still a whole human being; with the same desires, thoughts, and feelings as everybody else her age. From the moment we enter her world, we are confronted by our pre-conceived ideas about her condition, as she is disrobed by her nervous and unsuspecting blind date—right in front of our eyes.
Juana is an year-old, blue-haired girl bound to a wheelchair, and she is anxious to explore her sexuality. She is going on a blind date with Felipe, a guy she found on social media. After overcoming her fears, her doubts, and an inaccessible city, she meets him—and together they will discover what their bodies feel. She is the director of 4 Feet: Blind Date. Rosario Perazolo Masjoan is a year-old undergraduate student and disability-rights activist.
